Reliability, price/performance, costs, scale, latency, capacity and access
Enabling true large scale applications of the future, where we use AI and computational physics to simulate key aspects of the world
Enable seamless multi-cloud without silos and avoid vendor lock-in.
Provide access planet-scale compute at fair market prices without vendor lock-in
Our team has extensive experience building VC-backed startups from zero to exit. We founded Cohort AI (SLQT), an AI-powered chronic disease management company.
Our engineering DNA are in robotics and computer vision. We have real-world robotics systems that interact with humans at 6 RiverSystems/Shopify. This includes highly available cloud systems that control and manage robot fleets, behavior trees for advanced navigation within warehouses and OTAs in difficult, network constrained environments. We’ve built large-scale automated machine learning systems at MIT, building compute infrastructure to manage large ML pipelines. We’ve optimized memory, network and compute utilization to improve performance and speed.
Our team has experience building enterprise grade software. We’ve built commercial systems with high SLA’s for performance, uptime, reliability, and availability. We’ve built and deployed solutions for major healthcare systems that meet HIPAA and other regulatory and compliance requirements, used in the delivery of care. Real-time systems in the critical path for logistics and warehouse automation.
Our experience spans the technology stack from semiconductors, chip architecture, embedded systems, device drivers (we’ve helped build power drivers for Apple) to Linux systems and AI-powered webapps.
Our team has a track record in research and innovation. Our publications span computer vision, computer graphics, robotics optimization, spacecraft and aerospace systems and controls. Our patents in AI span use cases across grid energy management, optimal battery control and clinical NLP.
Cedana is fully remote and distributed. We meet in person every 6-8 weeks as a team and in individual groups more often.
Each member of our team strives to understand the entire technology stack from fundamental hardware constraints, OS system and fundamentals, compilers, containers, hypervisors, etc.
We emphasize an importance on continuous learning, documentation and teaching our team.
We’ve deployed a test cluster for you to play with where you can interact and experiment with the system.
